Cabrera exits early with tight hip flexor
MINNEAPOLIS -- Detroit first baseman Miguel Cabrera was pulled from Monday's contest against Minnesota following the second inning. Cabrera left the game with a tight left hip flexor and is day-to-day. In the bottom of the second, Cabrera dropped a throw from third baseman Carlos Guillen following a Brendan Harris grounder. In the top of the third, outfielder Clete Thomas pinch-hit for Cabrera. Thomas remained in the game in left field while Marcus Thames was moved to first base.
